Professional Practice:

Bernadette believes everyone is unique and special, with the privilege to enjoy life and healthy living, in this connection, she is devoted and passionate to help individual to pursue happiness and healthy well-being.

Bernadette received intensive training and possesses in-depth clinical experience working with young children, teenagers, and their families at children shelter, as well as with adult and families with grief and bereavement issue in community church. Over the course of her intensive training and in-depth clinical experience working with different age groups, her focus has been on working with children and adolescents together with their families, who are experiencing behavioral, emotional or acadenic difficulties usually in the presence of co-morbid conditions such as sexual abuse, familial dysfunction and/or psychological issues.

In addition, she assists young people adapt to new living and learning environment by bringing awareness of self and identity, acquiring and improving those social skills typically associated with developmental delay. She is experienced in dealing with grief and loss, parent-child conflicts, interpersonal difficulties, adjustment to major life events (e.g. birth and death in family, divorce/ separation, retirement, and etc.), and acculturation difficulties. She is also familiar with couples and families who struggle with communication difficulties, conflicts, separation and divorce.
