Professional Practice:
Dr. Angela Ng is a very experienced family physician, a sex therapist and a sex educator. She is the Vice-Director of End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation, and Member of Board of Directors and ex-vice-chairlady of The Hong Kong association of Sexuality Education, Researchers and Therapists. Dr. Ng provides sex education and lectures to the medical students of The Hong Kong University, primary and secondary schools teachers and social workers. Dr. Ng has also been a host for radio progam for 17 years teaching sexual health.

Dr. Ng believes sex is vital to healthy life and human intimate relationships. Due to various diseases and psychological problems, many people suffered from sexual dysfunction. For instance, men can have erectile problem, premature or delayed ejaculation problem and reduced libido; women can have reduced libido, lack of sexual climax and lack of lubrication, causing them to abstain from sex totally. There are also patients suffering from different forms of sexual addiction, for example, spending hours on pornography, masturbation or having frequent services from commercial sex workers etc. Dr. Ng feels contented when she could help all these patients.

Dr. Ng understands the patients often feel embarrassed regarding sexual issues in Hong Kong, but she believes sexual health is essential to the health and life of all human beings. Many sexual problems can be treated if we change our embarrassing attitude towards it.

Concerning social work, Dr. Ng is the Honorary Consultant of Caritas Social Services, Family Services and Therapy Group for Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse, Counseling and Supportive Service for Sexual behavior of Youth, the Hong Kong Catholic Marriage Advisory Council, YWCA, Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service and the Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention, Hong Kong
