Hormone Assessment

图层 3

Hormones play an important role in menstruation and pregnancy. By checking the hormone levels in the blood, a doctor can primarily assess a woman’s reproductive health.

A general female hormone assessment includes the following items:

  • Estradiol (E2)
  • FSH
  • Luteinizing hormone
  • Prolactin
  • Progesterone (P4)
  • Testosterone
  • Cortisol

Apart from female hormones, thyroid function test is often included in fertility assessment. It can help identify hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. Patients with hyperthyroidism are prone to premature delivery and miscarriage; while patients with hypothyroidism are more likely to have ovulation disorders, irregular menstruation, and infertility.

Thyroid function test generally includes:

  • Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH)
  • Free Triiodothyronine (Free T3)
  • Free Tetraiodothyronine (Free T4)

Women who are not getting pregnant within 6 months to 1 year of conception should consider a hormone assessment during the 2nd to 3rd day of menstruation. Please consult our specialist for details.

Sex Therapy

Sex therapists address clients’ mental health issues and/or emotional concerns affecting their sexual function, drive and/or desire for intimacy. Often this means focusing on successfully re-establishing sexual intercourse, restoring intimacy, and enhancing communication with their partner.

Premarital and Fertility Screening

Premarital health screening can help couples who are ready for marriage gain a better understanding of their health. If diseases are detected in their early or asymptomatic stage, especially diseases that are infectious or have severe effect on the next generation, treatment can be started at an early stage and therefore safeguarding the health of the couples and their future generations.
