Professional Practice :
Dr. Ng is Assistant Professor at Caritas Institute of Higher Education. She is a registered social worker, certified sex therapist, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, certified Integrative Body-Mind-Spirit practitioner, a Senior counseling and Training consultant of Human Empowerment and Achievement Training, Caritas Family Centre, and Consultant of Social Work Practice Center, School of Social Development and Public Policy, Beijing Normal University. Besides, she is also a magazine and newspaper columnist who has been interviewed by radio and TV programs promoting healthy sex education. She has been guest speaker for various public sex education seminars. She serves as Chairperson of the Hong Kong Association of Sexuality Educators, Researchers and Therapists.

Dr. Ng has also been passionate in social worker teaching and supervision. Currently, she devoted her energy to teaching General Education courses for students of all Degree programs. Besides teaching, she has been providing sexuality consultation for local and overseas clinical cases. She helps her clients in overcoming difficulties encountered in their sexual life. She finished her PhD research is in the area of female sexuality in 2010 and she has started her sex therapy counseling for couples, individual male and female since 2007.

Starting from 2013, she has been enthusiastic in promoting Body-Mind-Spirit holistic care intervention workshops in enhancing personal growth of youngsters, which has yielded excellent results. Her major academic interest is in female sexuality (including female penetrative intercourse difficulty, related factors of female sexual dysfunction, brief measure of female sexual function, sexual self of female adult survivors of Child Sexual Abuse), young adults’ knowledge and attitude toward human sexuality, and enhancement of young adults’ holistic well-being. Findings of her research on female sexuality and youngsters’ holistic well-being have been presented in international conferences. Related research articles have also been published in national and international academic refereed journal.
